Mel Larrosa, MBA, PhDc is a molecular biologist, innovation leader, and Ph.D. candidate in Psychology at the UCES in Argentina. She holds an MBA and graduate degrees in Health Sciences, and in Nutrigenomics & Nutrigenetics. Her doctoral research explores how non-ordinary experiences may function as turning points in narrative identity, shaping meaning in life and the personal and professional trajectories of emerging adults. Her broader interests include consciousness, spirituality, anomalous experiences, and post-materialist approaches to science.

Mel has held senior leadership roles in healthcare innovation, established 24 technology startups, and founded and led the Innovation Center at a world-leading Children’s Hospital. She is a Research Fellow at the Laszlo Institute of New Paradigm Research, Coordinator of the Steering Committee and of the Hypothesis Refinery Initiative of the Galileo Commission (SMN), and Editor of Book & Multimedia Reviews for the Journal of Scientific Exploration. She has also been actively involved in developing AAPS’s student community and initiatives.

Born in Uruguay, raised in Brazil, and having lived in China before settling in Israel, Mel brings a cross-cultural and interdisciplinary perspective to her work. She is particularly committed to connecting rigorous scientific inquiry with lived human experience and translating emerging knowledge beyond academia into meaningful real-world impact.
