New! The AAPS has many active student members who have been contributing to the Academy in a variety of ways. One of the ways they have been contributing is by compiling a volume to be published by the AAPS Press with their own essays and other inspirations concerning the topic of the primacy of consciousness. In addition, one of our students asked to expand our website to include not only science, but also the arts. In this way we invite you to explore how a worldview that supports the primacy of consciousness has also permeated the arts throughout the ages. The Primacy of Consciousness through Art displays examples of art from the past centuries that illustrate this lens on reality and added a short description for each example. We hope you enjoy this addition to the AAPS website!

AAPS Graduate Student Research Award Competition
The AAPS is announcing the creation of the AAPS Graduate Student Research Award Competition to support graduate students interested in performing research on the primacy of consciousness and its applications to health care, well-being, and other related topics.
Proposals for a graduate-level research project are due each calendar year by September 1 from Student members of AAPS. Results of the submission reviews will be available on October 1, and the Award will start on November 15. The award is for a possible total of $1000, with $500 awarded to the author to be spent on the student’s research project at the onset and an additional $500 awarded directly to the student when the project is published in a peer-reviewed journal. Students should send their proposals to info@aapsglobal.com.
Proposal instructions:
- Length: 6 pages maximum, 12-point font, single-spaced.
- Include the following sections:
- Specific aims
- Background literature review and significance of the research
- Methods
- Expected results
- Possible limitations/obstacles and how you will deal with them
- References cited section (not included in the 6-page limit)
