It Runs in the Family

This is the 1st incidence of my life. I have experienced like incidences for the past 60 years.

Sitting in class, saw, in my mind’s eye, my mother slip and fall in the kitchen of our home 2 miles away.

When I got home from school, I asked my mother if she had slipped on the kitchen floor about the noon hour. When she said she had, she added ” You too, eh?” It seems she had this ability, as did her mother before her.

Since 1943, I have had numerous moments of actually “seeing” things happen far away from where I was at the time. They have all been confirmed over the years. Fortunately, I was brought up with the notion that this was some kind of spiritual gift, and that it was not only okay to have, but I was never to use it for my own gain. I don’t seem to have precognition, but have experienced many simultaneous “views” of incidents going on with loved ones, far from where I was.

In the 1960’s, I was in the VA hospital in Palo Alto as a result of Korean war injuries, and the Stanford interns working there gave me a series of tests to evaluate my “ESP” powers. They never told me the results, other than to say they were quite extraordinary.

Contributor’s Comments on the Experience

While working in a clinical setting with patients, I have often been able to “see” into their pain and agony when they were reluctant or resistant to openly discuss same. That has been very helpful, both for me in understanding my patients, and for them in having someone who seems to more fully “understand” where they were coming from without having to relive the matter.

I have actually “seen” rapes, and suicide attempts, and issues such as this for many years, without the patient ever recounting it. My “sight” has been confirmed in every instance.

I have really been reluctant to share this with you, a perfect stranger, as only my wife and my sister are aware of this strange and unusual characteristic of mine. I have never used this professionally or commercially or even publicly. I am not ashamed nor bewildered by it. I don’t understand it, nor can I control it. It just happens, and when it does, I trust it.
